Hello.

I’m Dr. Alexandra Crosswell

My core philosophy is that we can all lead meaningful, joyful lives amidst the stress of daily life. Yet too many of us are living high stress lives without the joy and meaning part! My work in the world is to share science-backed tools that help us live well despite the intense demands of modern life.

As a scientist I spent decades finding evidence for what we as humans often experience — that the mind and body are connected, and that taking care of our emotional and spiritual lives will lead to better health and wellbeing. Now, I spend my days sharing insights from this research with companies, teams, and individuals.

I received my BA from Duke University, my PhD in Psychology from UCLA, completed my postdoctoral work at UCSF before transitioning to faculty in the UCSF School of Medicine. I left academia in 2022 to focus on my work in the corporate world. I am a certified coach through Gallup, Inc and am a certified Spiritual Director through the The Chaplaincy Institute.

I live just north of San Francisco in Mill Valley, California with my husband and three young sons where we spend lots of time hiking, biking, and dipping in the Pacific Ocean.
